Original Exhibit by Chelsey Rovesti, Slippery Rock University Archives Student Researcher.

About The Project

Rock Voices above the outline of a side profile of a face with the words "Oral History Project" in the background.

This online exhibit features audio and video interviews of past and present SRU faculty, staff, presidents and alumni. Hear the wonderful stories of the people who have shaped this institution from Slippery Rock State Teachers College, through the Slippery Rock State College years and into the Slippery Rock University of today.

The videos in this exhibit are only short clips of the full interviews. All of the full audio files transcripts, and many of the full video files are available online through Islandora. Access to all of the full video files, where applicable, is available from the Archives. Please contact the archives to schedule an appointment to view the materials or find out more information about the collection.

This project was sponsored in 2008 by the offices of the President and the Provost, Bailey Library, and the English Department.

The first Rock Voices advisory board included Cynthia Dillon, Mark O’Connor, Judy Silva, Philip Tramdack, and Robert Watson. The University Archives continues to maintain and update the site.
